Feb. 12 Scores: Someone break up the Rowdy Crowd, Oz home again, Cadets visit Spa

Re: Feb. 12 Scores: Someone break up the Rowdy Crowd, Oz home again, Cadets visit Spa

I caught it on the replay, puck went five hole on him and was in the back corner of the net before the net came off. Good call by the officials on that one. Can't say the same for other calls tonight.

Oh no, I knew it was a goal, just could not tell how it went through the legs...seemed odd, happened very fast. I would look forward to playing Morrisville in the playoffs if they get the chance.

When did they make that sked change? I had it my head so long that FF was 3/18-3/19 that I bought tix for USA-ARG at the Meadowlands that night.

Months ago. I think before the season started. It was a long discussion here on the Boards.

Gosek on the post-game - "This time of year, nothing good comes from a loss like this when you are humiliated in your own building..."

"They played like a desperate playoff team and we played like we had #1 locked up".

Absolutely right.

That's the right answer. Wake up and shake up the troops. Expect a tough week of practice and hopefully they bury Brockport on Friday.

You are assuming Morrisville will be an unranked team.

Hard to see how they would, though I don't see their team-by-team comparison up, the only statement they have I would take a guess is SOS in KRACH listing.

Needless to say this was a total team loss. Let's hope they wake up because with Geneseo coming up it could be 2 SUNYAC losses.

I agree with you. Live I thought the puck got pushed into the net when Beckwith got pushed in, but I saw the puck squirt through his legs on the replay... well, it either squirted through his legs or some phantom pushed it around his right leg. But with the way the game went tonight, nothing is out of the realm of possibility for me.

No panic here. Why the obsession with how Oswego fans deal with the team's adversity? You seem to bring it up on a weekly basis.

I see your join date is listed as March 2007. Were you by any chance lurking in February of 2007 for a very serious thread called "Fire Gosek"... a month before he won the national championship?

Is there a reason we're still bringing up a thread from 4 years ago that has, at this point, turned into a joke for many Oswego fans on this board?

Yup, because the rest of us saw it as a joke as it was happening. And therein lies the distinction.

So you're taking a situation from four years ago, with entirely different people and entirely different circumstances, and applying it to the current situation, also noting that the situation you're referring to from four years ago hasn't even crossed anyone minds except in jest? Good to know, glad we're all on the same page.

Final

Hamline - 3
Gustavus - 2

Pipers clinch at least a MIAC Co-Championship.

I'm still amazed SNC broke thru the next year without a "Fire Tim Coghlin" thread.:) That whole thing still cracked me up. Probably 2nd best to "Congradulations".

Final - Stout 5, SNC 1............I forgot it was a 4pm start, so only caught third period, SNC was down 3-0, something happened and they gave Kyle Stroh a penalty shot and he scored; Martin in net, Coglin pulled him with 4 min remaining, and a empty netter pushed the score to final of 5-1.......not the way to end a season, but they will be back at it on Feb 26th at the Cornerstone..........funny when Derozier commented Pete left after that empty netter.......ha.......
USOilJim and I actually left our seats to stand down on the Stout goalie end, since we pulled Martin for the extra attacker.
Frustrating game to watch, but it did not hurt us in the conference race.
Tim and AJ have plenty to coach up the team on in practices over the next two weeks before we defend our Peters Cup crown @ the CCC on Feb. 26.

Re: Feb. 12 Scores: Someone break up the Rowdy Crowd, Oz home again, Cadets visit Spa

Went to the Loring Rink, Worcester State @ Framingham game today. The rink reminds me of a poor man William's Chapman Rink.

not many scoring chances. The winner was a really nice pass from behind the net to a cutting player. Both teams did hit the pipes on one shot and Worcester got a couple decent shots late, but one goal was all that would be scored today.
On a side note, since I have been ripping refs lately. The linesman Billy Marcotte did a good job today. There was also a 5 minute penalty called on Worcester for an open ice hit that was near the puck, but the guy never had the puck. The whole bench for Framingham banged their sticks on the boards when it became a 5 minute penalty, and they were given a 2 minute penalty for... "mocking the refs?"
