TV replay clearly showed the hit was across the shoulder blades. 'Stangs player went headfirst into the boards. Ref was right there. If it's that obvious on TV, it should be that obvious to the ref who's three feet away.

Did they call checking from behind, or contact to head? If it's CFB into the boards, that's supposed to be an automatic 5 + game.

I believe they called contact to the head. That's exactly what they called.

seeing something on replay on tv and seeing it in real time you see things differently. when you see the replay you know what your looking for. when the play is going on your looking for so much more. not to say that Bremner did or didn't deserve the game but when you have to make a call on a hit like that (I didn't see it, not watching the broadcast) it's better to be cautious.

TV said it was blow to the head. Live stats says checking from behind. Live stats also says Game Misconduct, not Game DQ. So he should be available for the next game if memoy serves correctly.

Guys on WTOP have said several times that it was game misconduct, and that he would not be available next game. That would be incorrect.
