Sorry. Ate there once, 40 years ago, and remember it as though it was yesterday. Rich cattlemen aren't much on ambiance, but they do love good grub.

Definitely not the first person to react this way to me. :)

It cracks me up, though. Steak is, like, the only thing on Earth that EVERYONE seems to like. I'm not overly fond of hamburgers, either.

The meal depends on where I am. Certain parts of the country have awesome regional cuisine.

Número uno? Thick cut of NY strip rare to medium rare, twice baked potato, broccoli with cheese and a bottle of merlot.

Poached eggs on toast with bacon.
Homemade pasta with carbonara sauce
Homemade pasta with bacon, apple, caper sauce
Mom's mashed potatoes (proscuitto and gouda)
Mexican spice-rubbed chicken with fresh pepper/onion salsa
Pancakes with maple syrup
Veal cheek stroganoff
Fat Elvis, rare - rare burger topped with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg on a sesame seed bun
Steak and spinach salad with bell peppers, a little blue cheese
Rad Nah
Pad Kee Mao

Found Doug's Fish Fry in Skaneatles, N.Y. Very good. Maybe add some restaurants for the travelers in the group.
