EZAC??? I think not!!!

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

Yale's accomplishment is all the more impressive as Harvard, Yale, Princeton et al. have an academic index which each incoming Freshman class must attain (SAT, GPA ). The teams against which they compete dont have that.....An no, Ivy academis are not overrated- just look at any ranking of school academic. Princeton, Harvard are always 1,2 .
Why do you turds do this? This site is about college hockey. If you want to argue about academics, go to a quiz bowl forum.

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

Congratulations to YALE and QUINNIPIAC from the rest of us in the ECAC. You have made us all very proud !!!!

Thank you, Dutchman.
Very classy.
We were rooting for your guys last year... and will again when you make it next time.

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

Yale leads in Heismans - and college football championships too bud.

Past history.

At present, Yale 6-0 THIS season vs West. BTW - Herb Brooks and 3 championships from 70's are dead.

Zzzzzzz

You should consider changing your handle.

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

When was the last time that that two teams in the NCAA finals last battled in the consolation round (3rd place) of their league championship? Speaks volumes to how tough the ECAC was this year.

No it doesn't. It speaks to how QU did exactly what it was supposed to do (roll through the tournament field), while Yale took advantage of Minnesota Holy-Crossing themselves (again), ran through the Sioux (OOPS!) then outplayed a sleepwalking Lowell squad. The ECAC isn't exactly tough.

Are you high?

You forgot about Union rolling BC.

And if BU couldn't beat the last place team from a league that "isn't exactly tough," what exactly does that say about HOCKEY RAST111?!!

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

Hmmm, I see this thread is now where the 10 year olds come to play.

"So's your mother!"

"[insert league name] sucks!"

Carry on, children. :p

It says BU laid an egg to Harvard twice? To be fair, we also lost to Northeastern. Wasn't exactly our best year.

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

Quinnipiac couldn't beat AIC. So...?

That's proof of how weak the EZAC is. BU losing to Harvard and the success Yale and Quinnipiac are having are just aberrations.

The ECAC can't be considered anything BUT a tough league this year. Historically weak? Sure. This year? Not so much. Top to bottom as good (and bad - as evidenced by QU's stinker against AIC and a few others) as any other conference. Parity has come to college hockey, and I think that's a good thing.

Oh yeah! That was actually quite fun.

Figured you'd have liked that.

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

No arguing that ECAC is having a banner year. There's a lot more parity in NCAA hockey than there used to be, particularly as new schools join and start investing in their programs. However, I think ECAC is likely to stay the nerdy little brother to Hockey East, much as the nWCHA will probably be the NCHC's hillbilly cousin. The recruiting profiles tend to slightly disadvantage the smaller market teams, but not so much that we won't frequently pull off an upset.

Re: EZAC??? I think not!!!

Congratulations and thank you Q and Yale. Even though my team had an awful season, your success has renewed hope that another championship is not an impossible dream. If nothing else, certain fans of WCHA and Hockey East teams who never had any respect for our conference will now have it, even if some of them won't admit it.
