ESPN Tourney Challenge

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

6th in USCHO and 361,683rd overall? Good God, how many entries does ESPN have on this thing?!

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

Yeah but everyone's losing at least a sweet 16 there, if not an elite 8 in most cases, so relatively it shouldn't hurt too much.

It's the difference between the 16/8 that hurts. I'm willing to have my Sweet 16 drop outs die early because it costs others their 8's. I just don't like it when it happens to me. :p

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

Hey, after day 1, I'm doing better than Dicky V and Bron Bron. Only 2 picks back of our genius president. I also still have all of my elite 8 picks in.

Overall, only 56 people are still perfect.

This. I don't really want to lose an Elite 8 Team on the first night.

Nice to know I'm not the only one. I think a lot of people got killed by Georgetown.

BTW is it too late to join? I'll check...

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

Not to bad after day 1, losing Georgetown was the worst, but like someone else pointed out, most everyone had them at least in the Sweet 16, if not Elite 8. Still have 1740 points remaining possible.

I love the upsets, even if it kills my bracket sometimes.

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

Right, they only allow brackets to be submitted until right before tip off in the first game.

The locked you see on the USCHO group means you cannot change brackets in and out once tourney play begins.

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

Went 13-3 on day one.

2 of the losses are teams I have losing in the 2nd round, so no big deal.
Georgetown however hurts a lot, as I had them in the Elite 8.

Probably not as much as Kansas losing however. Cost me some points, but I had them losing the next game, so it probably helped me overall to eat that lost. Hard to believe that with 4 of my Elite Eight teams gone I'm still in the top 97 percentile for a top bracket out of some 5 million or so submitted.

Re: ESPN Tourney Challenge

3 of the teams ahead of me right now have Kansas winning it all...that makes me feel kinda ok. :)

9 of my Sweet 16 are still alive, but only half my Final Four :( Of course the winner is still alive so all is not lost! :)

The fact that only 2 other posters in the Top 20 have Syracuse winning with me could make this very interesting!

Yep, I have 8 of 16 left, 2 of 4, but the CUSE winning it all, and they looked pretty impressive against the zigzags.

I'm only in 74th percent or so, but I can't imagine many people picked the cuse after their early departure in the secondary tournament, it was all part of the plan;)
