Enter the Send Portal - 2025-2026 Transfers

Gopher Puck has been pretty good. I've also been using Elite Prospects for transfers but it's always missing some players.

Former Curry goaltender Shane Soderwall helped secure a huge upset win for Clarkson over Penn State. Massive effort in his 2nd D1 game against some future NHL talent.

I drove down to Happy Valley to watch the game, and McKenna in particular. Soderwall was a bit shaky in the first, but gained confidence as the game proceeded. After giving up 4 (all to the same player) in 27 minutes, he became a concrete wall. He really frustrated a skilled PSU team who began to exhibit nervous cracks in the 3rd, and couldn't finish anything.

The game had absolutely no flow. Penalty after penalty, 3 reviews for major consideration, scuffles after nearly every play. Clarkson really knows how to afflict consternation on a skilled squad. Game took over 2.5 hours!

The McKenna kid is really good, but needs much ice time against, larger, stronger, smarter players, and time for his body to mature. His passing skills reminded me of the Spartak Moscow teams of the 80s before their best were allowed to play in the NHL.
