Struck completely out on the varients today... Just 8 bottles of regular BCS... Really wanted to get my hands on the Proprietor's... Seems that the switch to the 16oz bottles had some people in a tizzy... Last year a 4-pack of regular BCS was $26... This year it was $10/bottle...

$10?! That's cheap! It was about $12-15 here, depending on where you got it.

Edit: forgot to mention, bought a couple bottles of Founders Project Pam. Black IPA, aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels. Smells way hoppy, tastes not hoppy. The maple really comes through. Very tasty beer.

I need to restock. All I have left is like a shot and half of Grand Marnier, the bulk of a bottle of Johnny black and maybe 300 ml of Makers Mark.

And that just will not do.

Forget that, he's in Wisconsin. Where's he hiding the turpentine?

Its probably plumbed to the faucet.

Ballast Point Sea Monster bomber has been cracked. This is an awesome Imperial Stout, on par with what you'd expect an Imperial Stout from Ballast Point to be. Highly recommend.

I've never heard of Paste Magazine, but they have A Cocktail for each State. At least they acknowledge that Wisconsin probably should have had the Old Fashioned (brandy, of course)

Last night, I picked up the Goose Island winter variety pack from Sam's Club. Has their Winter Ale, Experimental, Ten Hills Pale Ale, and their IPA. First time I've ever bought more than a 6 pack.

Sampled a bottle of Allagash Curieux...

For a bottle of barrel aged beer, it's different.... Not sure what to make of this... The bourbon flavors are much lighter compared to other barrel aged selections... At the same time though, the original flavors seem to be somewhat muted as well (this started as Allagash Tripel)... Some of the honey flavor stands out, but that's really it... Overall, kinda bland... A good starter for someone wanting to sample a barrel aged beer without a heavy bourbon influence... I give it a C+.... It's something I won't turn down in the future, but I'm not going to seek this out either...

Gurt, you may be interested to know, I tried the Appleton Estates 21yr on Saturday. It's impeccable. One of the best aged spirits I have ever had.
