Pretty impressive set of new duds for EC this year if you ask me! Well done Coach Saul and the designers on this one. Wish I got to see them in person more....

Was hoping that the Potsdam game for the week of Thanksgiving would stick but I see its gone now.

I got to see them now. I like the home jerseys except I would like to see a large Eagle on the front like the road jerseys have. I do like the way the stripes are laid out.

Im hoping to catch up with coach soon so Ill see what I can get on this years team

I looked at media guide. Looks like 02-03 was last year for it.
I typed up a story I have from my playing days of an EC tourney. But after I typed I remembered the team from the story wasn’t in the tourney. Just a non conf game at Domes. Maybe I’ll edit.
But having said that one of my fond memories of play EC hockey is spending 2 Thanksgiving (96,97) in a row on a bus driving to Maine for Thanksgiving tourneys (Bowdoin/Colby) . The bus would pull onto the shoulder of the freeway at stop. Equipment Manager Big Mutt and a couple rookies would get out. Then come back onto the bus with turkey hoagies. The bus had met some takeout hoagie shop for dinner. Thanksgiving day and we are eating turkey hoagies with no mayo on the bus. Good times. At the time I thought it was cheap. But now I think it’s cool, good story.
Then running laps as team around the hotel in 2 feet of snow to loosen up before game. Running with Steve Bidus and Ryan Zohr...the two slowest runners you'll ever see

Steve Bidus...ahh the good ole days.

I miss the Star Gazette Invitational as well.

Intra-squad scrimmage Tuesday, October 15 at 7:30pm.

Booster Club ticket applications arrived this week ... still $90 for 4 tickets to the 11 regular season home games, not a bad deal (considering the downtown alternative prices are $12-$18)

Got a chance to talk to coach. He is excited and getting ready for the season. Still needs to finalize somethings but said team will compete. Always good to catch up with him.
Ill be going to the Neumann game when EC is in town. If anyone is going let me know.

And midnight tonight...when the clock strikes 12:00 it becomes 10/15. If anyone goes I'd love a report.

And so it was. The clock struck midnight. The 2013/4 season officially
began and there was a purple and gold scrimmage. Was anyone
able to watch?

Practice at 1pm today and another p&g scrimmage tonight at 7:30. Anybody able to go to that one? Let me know.
