Embarrassing game to say the least. Hot goalie for Morrisville was the difference, along with some sloppy play by EC at times. Morrisville put the pressure on and did so for a full 60 mins.

I dont think Morrisville put the pressure on really at all. They capitalized on two of their very few scoring chances and their goaltender played excellent.

The entire third period they had all five players below the circle trying to desperately fend Elmira off.

Elmira beat themselves by taking Morrisville for granted and then trying to do too much and forget they had teammates out there. Elmira had more skill at every position but goaltender tonight and they didn't use it.

Very sloppy play for Elmira and an absolutely embarrasing loss. Morrisville had a couple kids that could barely skate.

They had a few kids who could play and their goaltender showed he can steal a game any night if he is on but they will not be able to compete with the better teams because they have no depth and as long as teams play to their potential Morrisville will still get trounced.

This is not we whining and being sour. Elmira played awful and Morrisville took advantage. Elmira has been umimpressive for four out of the six periods I've seen them this year

Easily the most embarrasing loss for the program in my 17 years following the team.

Wow Prez. That is a bit harsh on your boys don't you think? They put 59 shots on goal and that was the most embarrassing loss in 17 years? Really? Are you trying to light a fire under the teams behind or something?? Reverse motivation?

Absolutely worst loss I have seen. Sure they put up "59 shots" according to the stats. However, one I think the Elmira shot totals have been quite bloated so far this year and two, most of their shots were right into Relkoff's chest.

They lost to a team that had 10 wins in their program's history with the "best" win coming against a Geneseo team that struggled mightily in the second half of the season when they beat them 7-5.

Has Morrisville improved? Certainly. But this team still has a very long ways to go before they are relevant in the SUNYAC. Elmira played atrocious and let the Mustangs stay in the game and then couldn't rally in the third period to find the equalizer.

I hope I'm not the one that has to light a fire under the players butts. If they need to come on USCHO for motivation rather than find it from the coaching staff or captains, it's going to be a LONG season.

I won't be at the Fredonia game this weekend but I hope the boys pick up their play as they have already put themselves behind the 8 ball with the Morrisville loss playing in a conference that doesnt have an automatic bid.

I asked Don (DH and all those numbers after his name for his posting handle on here) where this loss ranked during his time watching EC. He started in the 70's I believe and he came up with an 11-1 loss to Fredonia as worse but this one ranked up there.

Any other EC fans out there care to comment where this one ranks? Am i out of line thinking this is the most embarrasing loss in the last 17 years?

Yepp, miss one. Congrats Norm, for being the only one crazy enough to pick Morrisville to win IN Elmira.

I picked Morrisville to win because I suspected what PrezdeJohnson09 described, would be what happened, I also suspected that Elmira would "wake up" and win in Morrisville.
