ECAC Pick The Standings Contest 2015-2016

The first weekend of ECAC League Hockey games is in the books. As for our contest, the defending champ Dr Demento is once again leading the contest tied with his fellow RPI alum Ralph Baer. Don't get too comfortable Doc as Jenny is lurking just 5 spots back in 6th place. The Random Number has started out strong tied for 8th, The Fan Average is in 27th place, The Coaches in 28th, The Media tied for 48th and last, in last place is ColSkate65.

Here are the contest standings to date:
Note: Week 1 standings by which the contest scores are complied are as follows. ECAC win percentage (Har/ RPI 1 & 2, Union and Dart 11 & 12). Ties are broken using non-league win percentage followed by team playing the tougher out of league schedule.

Vic: Thanks for the depressing news. I have nowhere to go from here but down. Nice to be in the lead and more importantly, nice to be on top of Jenny.;) With both Ralph and i at the top it has to mean something about the entire system being flawed. If i have not said this yet, thanks for taking the time and effort to run this contest. And even though you attended that school not to be spoken of, up north, both Jen and I have a special place in our heart for you.
This should be another of those fascinating ECAC years where anything can and will happen but we can be certain that we will all have plenty to complain about each weekend.

Train whistle? Why, are you planning on traveling somewhere? ;) Might i recommend I nice Amtrak ride down to the Jersey Shore.

As for our contest, the defending champ Dr Demento is still leading the contest while his co-leader from last week, RPI alum Ralph Baer, has fallen into 5th place. Jenny picked up some ground and is in 4th. The Random Number has fallen into a tie for 33rd, The Fan Average is up to 24th place, The Coaches are in 21st, The Media tied for 30th and last, continuing in last place is ColSkate65.

I fell, but I improved from a score of 88 to 60.

Vic: I know exactly where my competition will come from and am more afraid of that little one than just in this contest. Still early but she is already getting closer.

Last weeks leader and the defending champ Dr Demento has fallen into 4th but he still maintains a slight lead over 6th place Jenny. The Random Number has risen to 18th and The Fan Average is lower in 49th place. The Coaches are tied for 26th with USCHO ECAC GURU Nate Owen and The Media are tied for 32nd with a whole bunch of other contestants including yours truly. And for the 3rd week in a row bringing up the rear in last place is ColSkate65.

Browns demolition of Colgate in Ireland today has made some changes to our leader board. lugnut92 remains in the lead over FreshFish. Jenny has now passed Doc as he drops into 6th. The Random Number has inched up to 14th and The Fan Average is now in a tie at 41st place with the The Coaches. And for the 5th week in a row bringing up the rear in last place is ColSkate65.

There are no more ECAC league games until Dec 29-30 when Quinny/Prinny play a home and home series. Our new leader going into the League hiatis is FreshFish as last weeks leader lugnut92 has fallen into 8th. Jenny continues to lead Doc and they are battling FreshFish for the lead. The Random Number has fallen to 21st and The Fan Average remains in a tie at 41st place this time with the The Media. And for the 6th week in a row bringing up the rear in last place is ColSkate65. Can he run the table and remain in last place for the rest of the season? Only time will tell. Have a great Holiday and look for the next update to the standings on Dec 31st.
