Re: ECAC Pick The Standings 2011-12

Perhaps, I should remember that sample size is really important, but Colgate really impressed me after shalacking UNO. They need a bump, and if it comes at the expense of RPI, all the better.

1-Union
2-Cornell
3-Yale
4-Dartmoth
5-Colgate
6-RPI
7-QU
8-Princeton
9-Harvard
10-SLU

I will state that I do agree with you that Colgate is starting to show that they will be a force this year, but I have to wonder how you can rationalize a 4-3 win over UNO as a shalacking. Especially considering Colgate was outshot by nearly double. I am just curious is all.

Re: ECAC Pick The Standings 2011-12

I grew up a Gopher's fan and I live in Minnesota. When a team that won like 7 regular season games last year beats a WCHA team I'll call it a shalacking. Either that or it's Mid-West bias.

Not to mention, it's very possible that it could be the highlight of their season, similar to RPI and the Governor's Cup in some of our crappier years.

I'm not saying this is what I believe will actually happen, as I pegged Colgate for the bye and I'm sticking with it (for now).
