ECAC Hockey Finales Will Not Be Televised

Re: ECAC Hockey Finales Will Not Be Televised

If the computer has an HDMI port, yes. If not, then you likely need some sort of interface/adapter and I'm not up to speed on what's available.

Also need to make sure that your graphics card can handle outputting the image to a bigger screen. You may need to bring down the quality a notch if it can't.... also get a cooling pad or put a fan near it if it's a laptop.

Lots of fans will probably be streaming games this coming weekend unless ESPN Syndication gets picked up locally... which is pathetic but another story altogether.

Bumping to thank the guys at RPITV again for a great job...and to ask whether there is a (fairly easy) way to connect the computer to the tv and watch on the larger tv screen...is it as simple as an HDMI cord?

You could probably do that. I know with my Thinkpad T42 I have a S-Video port on the motherboard that I used to hook up to a TV all the time. You just need to make sure your graphics driver supports HDMI output and that your TV accepts HDMI input.

Union's (and probably Cornell's) games I would imagine would be syndicated on Time Warner. I would check the local sports channels, especially those that do participate in said syndication.

Thanks to all that watched our feed(s) tonight! I'm pretty pleased with the content we put out today, and I'm extremely thankful to America One, who went the extra mile to ensure there was a higher quality option. They overnighted a new, more powerful encoding computer just for you to enjoy our feed at a high quality.

I hope you all will join us tomorrow for the consolation and final! We should have a bit more intermission content ready, and more interviews as well.

Question for RHamilton:

Do you know how many "views" were sold over the weekend? Or is this "top secret" information? Wonder how it compares to "free" cable viewership?

I haven't asked, and I probably wouldn't divulge if I knew. My guess is in the mid hundreds for each game, but I really have no idea.
