ECAC First Round, Sunday

Re: ECAC First Round, Sunday

Well Tim, I thought the game was really officiated well until the last non-call on CCT. Caister did however deserve the penalty for the hit to the head. Bottom line, SLU has not scored on the PP, Tisi misses an easy shot from just inside the blue line and SLU is down 2-1. This game is far from over IMHO. Should be a doozy of a third period.

Maybe Caister deserved it, but they better be consistent in calling it every time it happens both ways, which I know better and they won't.

You know, on the one hand you kind of have to hand it to Clarkson. They get an opportunity and they take advantage. SLU had three PPs (all legit) in that period and didn't score. It's not for lack of opportunities - Clarkson's blocking shots, Karpowich is solid, and the puck just doesn't want to bounce SLU's way. And at the other end Clarkson is finishing their chances.

But if SLU loses, I will absolutely blame the officiating in significant part. It's like Murphy has money riding on it.

It's more the pattern carrying over from Friday and Saturday than this game alone, Vic. It's just so frustrating to watch penalties let go one way, then immediately called the other way and result in goals. I think this game has been the best of the three in terms of officiating, because Clarkson is playing well. They're not tackling everyone in sight tonight because they're skating a lot better. You're absolutely right about SLU not scoring on the PP.

Hey redhawkman, exactly what vested interest do you have in this thread, other than none? Thanks for the BS negrep, scum.

Back underway at Appleton.

Re: ECAC First Round, Sunday

Bollig taken down with a crosscheck in front of the Clarkson net, no call.

SLU will probably get called for something soon.

Some good looks on that PP, but again, nothing to show.
