Times Argus story of the Norwich/Babson game won by Norwich 4-1.

A very large crowd watched Norwich and Babson play an up tempo game that resulted in no score in the first period. After watching Babson play a slower paced game against Skidmore Friday I was suprised they skated with Norwich in the first. However Norwich debth seemed to be a bigger factor as the game went along and Norwich scored a couple of goals in the second period. The Schroeder brothers line had a very good weekend and were involved in the first two goals. Overall impression was Norwich steped it up a notch Saturday to capture the ECAC East title.

The NCAA selection committee will talk after 6:00PM Sunday to select the teams for the tournament.

Naturally I am biased and delighted with the Cadets win of the ECAC-E Championship Tourney.

But I also want to acknowledge the other three teams that played in this tournament--as they really came to play and competed down to the last moment. The Box Score(s) tells the story of three games loaded with action, some hard physical play without any petty intimidations and a great showing by all four clubs--especially all four goalies.

Thanks Skidmore, NEC, Babson and Norwich for making it such a successful ECAC-E Championships.
