ECAC East Next Weekend

Re: ECAC East Next Weekend

The worst play he made was in the third period when he came out of the net to play the puck had it stolen from him and lucked out because we missed an open net on the ensuing shot. If you are going to come out to play the puck, you darn well better be sure you can get it and once you have it know what you are going to do with it. Otherwise just give the other guys a goal.

Didn't he get caught out on a similar play for the fifth goal?

I remember the net being wide open and I thought Edwards was way out of position when Forkey shot the puck towards the open net and Lindensmith was all alone in front for the easy tip in goal.

You are correct. The Lindensmith goal happened when he was wandering for no apparent purpose. On the other play, somebody on the fourth line stole the puck off his stick because he had it and had nowhere to go with it.

Well, I think he was going to play the puck to keep it from NU, but I don't think he expected Kyle to get there as quickly as he did, and then made a poor play/choice.

With the way the games are scheduled it will allow Vermont D3 fans to see the Castleton Spartans without taking
any time off from work. It will be interesting to see how many Norwich fans stay around for the Spartans who always are interesting to watch.

The above is a link to a story on the Babson/USM game won by USM. The story reports that the Huskies are 4-1-2 over there last 7 games. At first I thought Norwich wouldn't have too much trouble with USM but the win over Babson at Babson has sort of changed my opinion. With Braely Torris playing outstanding in goal Norwich is going to have a very difficult game on its hands.

Torris has usually played NU tough been impressed with him for years

I agree that Torris is good. I think one of the more underrated goalies in the ECAC East.

Norwich has handled Southern Maine fairly well over the past few years though so we'll see what happens Friday.
