Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!
I didn't think a simple thread on some nitch sport's website was shouting it from the mountiantops. You give me too much credit.
God doesn't want us to be shy about our beliefs, but to spread the Good News of the Gospel. A thread is a great place to plant a seed. If you are interested, you can check it out. If it's not your thing, then you won't check it out, but at least you had to think about not reading it.
Timothy,
As fans of opposing WCHA schools we are not friendly over on that other forum (for sure!), but I wanted to take the time to thank you for sharing your faith here in the Cafe.
It is far, far too easy for those who do not believe to mock believers for their faith, a faith for, whichever reason, they do not possess. Rather than take the opportunity to explore the faith of others, examine their own conscience, or simply to leave others to their own belief, they choose instead to mock, ridicule and scorn. I myself will likely be mocked and ridiculed for daring to agree.
I do not fear it, I know you don't either.
I am reminded of the fourth day of the Divine Mercy Novena (tomorrow, in the Catholic Church): "Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who do not believe in You, and of those who as yet do not know You, but who are enclosed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know what great happiness it is to love You."
Blessed are those persecuted for seeking righteousness. Theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Buona Pasqua. Happy Easter. He is risen.
