East/West 10/31 and 11/1

Re: East/West 10/31 and 11/1

Final was Adrian 4 Elmira 1

For the people out east...what do you think Adrian's chances are with Plattsburgh tomorrow. How did they compare?

Very impressed with Adrian. They have a couple of absolute studs. Big team that can play different styles I feel. They can muck it up but they can also play a speed game. They had a couple of very impressive goals that left Crawford no chance.

10, 18, 19, 25 and the goalie caught my eye all night. I think Adrian will give Plattsburgh a run tomorrow if they didn't blow everything today.

Elmira lost A LOT from last year's squad and it showed. They've got a lot of young faces in big roles up and down the lineup. They started out pretty well in the second period after getting completely dominated in the first period. However, Adrian got the 3rd goal for the back breaker and then the fourth followed right after to put it away for good.

Norwich didn't play it's best game and was 17 seconds from going to OT with the two-time defending champs. Found a way to hang in it. Plattsburgh still appears to be the team to beat unless Adrian knocks them off tomorrow.

Adrian was awesome this afternoon; power, speed and impressive goal tending . I think the game with Plattsburgh should be great. Hate to say this, but refs may be a big factor. Today's refs in both games really allowed the teams to go at each other. The one difference I saw in Adrian and Plattsburgh this afternoon was on the power play. Plattsburgh was able to totally control play in the Norwich zone with the extra attacker. Adrian, a team with close to 30% success on the power play last season, just did not control the puck and get their power play working against Elmira.

Re: East/West 10/31 and 11/1

Balisy opens the scoring for Plattsburgh on the power play at 3:22.

PSU 1
Adrian 0

Re: East/West 10/31 and 11/1

Ames at 11:51

PSU 2
Adrian 0

3 power plays for Plattsburgh in the first 12 minutes.

Re: East/West 10/31 and 11/1

Adrian 5x3 for a full 3 minutes nothing half way thru. 1st ends 3-0 Cardinals. Adrian pp needs retooling

and for as much praise I had for Adrian yesterday, Plattsburgh like the true champions that they are, went out and completely neutralized all of Adrian's weapons. They put on a clinic in defense and opportunistic scoring.

Adrian penalties killed them in the first period, had an early close call on a shot that from my vantage point never looked like it could have fully crossed the line and then bang bang bang Plattsburgh is up 3-0.

The Cardinals once again proved they are the team to beat. New defenseman from Platty Hockins is a good, solid player that won't do a lot of things that jump off the page at you, but does a lot of the little things behind the scenes that makes her invaluable. Nice pick up for Houle and company.

Plattsburgh's team speed was the difference in both games. Camille Leonard also continues to be rock steady between the pipes. Round 1 goes to Plattsburgh. We'll see if anything changes in a month at the Panther-Cardinal.

Re: East/West 10/31 and 11/1

Define "significant amount" please. I'd love to know the cost involved to be honest with you. You could charge a small fee for the broadcasts just to break even if you wanted to. I'm sure people would pay the fee to see their daughters if they can't be there in person as would other fans that are friends and family.

Have to agree with that...pointing a camera at the ice and connecting to this hear interweb can't cost much...Ditto on the fee to watch...I agree many parents/friends who couldn't make the trip would pay to watch.

Seems like an obvious opportunity to improve your program's overall reputation by making a bunch of people happy that Norwich missed out on. I'm sure they have plenty of money for anything they WANT to do and I'm also sure they probably waste some money on other things that aren't a high priority in the big picture too.

I'm not going to engage in a flamefest with you but you really seem like you have an axe to grind for whatever reason.

I'll leave it at this, it's a lot more complicated than just "pointing a camera at the ice" but I'll let all the experts continue to prattle on about it now.

No axe to grind Prez. Just making a point about making something good become even better. Everything can be improved...if the desire is there. Too many people are resistant to change or suggestions on how to improve. Been around the game of life and hockey many years more than you. Yes, it's not just a matter of pointing a camera at the ice but nothing is too complicated if the will and commitment to do something is there. Besides nobody is going to believe a program like Norwich is poor-mouthing about this with all their resources (there's a reason why some programs are at the top of the standings every year) so the "significant amount of money" excuse just doesn't cut it (and how much did you say it costs?). Thank you for acknowledging that I am one of the experts. You are right about that. :)
