Union also has three 19-year-old freshmen. Vermont has no players under 20.
According to their roster on collegehockeystats.net, one 24-year-old and 8 23-year-olds. Vermont has one 25-year-old, three 24-year-olds and two 23-year-olds.

The Vermont player visibly kneed him in the back of the knee so i'd say he's lucky to be back on the ice.
Barry does this every year, watches 3 minutes of highlights on 16 teams and reads some stats that get handed to him then bludgeons our ear drums with a bunch of made up garbage.

Former ECAC rivals? Union was in the league, what, 10 years before UVM left? And they were the league doormat for what, 10 of those years? Hardly rivals.

The only reason people are going to think that was a dirty hit was because their top player got hurt. That hit was like hundreds of others in any game, the guy just let up and he paid for it.

Second Union goal was a nice play... just a good goal. That first Union goal was just pathetic on Vermont's end... Hamilton got rented and Hoffman should have made that save 100/100 times...
You have to be good to be lucky and lucky to be good and Union is good. Very fast.
So far it seems to be pretty even play with that total break down by Vermont on the PP being the difference.
But seriously, do the Union guys take acting classes. They should have called "Ghost" for embellishment and put an end to that nonsense. If Stevens starts kicking the net off the post I'm just going to start calling them BU instead of U.

Union's speed and puck movement were the story of the 1st. Very impressed by them so far. Gotisbehere is an absolute stud.
Hoffman wants 1st goal back...
UVM should be pretty content they are only down one after that period when they were thoroughly outplayed for most of it.
Not sure what Union did to deserve penalty when gotisbehere got nailed by a vicious leg check. Maybe retaliation?

In fairness, Vermont was a doormat too. (Or are we all just forgetting that Vermont decided they were too good for the ECAC even though they've never won a thing?)
