East Regional-Miami University, Denver, Boston College, Providence

Re: East Regional-Miami University, Denver, Boston College, Providence

Everyone is playing in the same arena so no big deal
Someone posted what the actual lighting looks like earlier in the thread. It is much brighter than it looks.

it's very similar to what we see with laker basketball games from the staples center. mookie likes it.

The lighting in the arena is fine.
Everything inside the arena is BLACK. The chairs, the armrests, the walls... all black.
Black absorbs light as opposed to reflecting it. Hence, it is very dark beyond the glass on the tv screen.

It is also black on the ice. The far corner by the goal on the right looks like they skate into a closet.

..that must be when Gillies comes out to play the puck..
;-)

Maybe that is where Eichel is hiding. They are talking about his so much I thought must be there somewhere.

Is it really that much of a forgone conclusion for the Hobie or do they just have a serious man-crush?

Actually that was a serious question. Eastern bias out here and I live next to where he lived when a kid so everything is all about him even in the articles about our team. Listening last night the commentators doing the West stuff were high on some guy from out there like he mattered. I was really wondering if it is Eastern bias or if he is so far above everyone else.

Mr les is having a canary that they are reviewing this. Swears they cannot review it for this. No pony in this. I think it was legit penalty. If he didn't drop the shoulder but was up more the guy was laid out and it is legal

Re: East Regional-Miami University, Denver, Boston College, Providence

Head down leads with shoulder. Absolute bull ****. Congrats he refs gifted you a win possibly.

Yup, didn't leave his feet, elbow was in at initial contact. The elbow comes out slightly after the contact to push him away.

Pretty sure there can't be contact to the head with anything except body (but I could be wrong)

Checked with Mr les who's sat in NCAA rules committee thingies. Nothing can hit the head. Ever.

Re: East Regional-Miami University, Denver, Boston College, Providence

Fiver, he also left his feet during the hit. Shades of the O'Neil hit in Bridgeport a few years ago against UMD.

the 'hitter' has options there. the sport can't let people continue to get hit in the head.
