Early Departures - 2012 Edition

Wohlberg just finished his senior year. Don't you remember from last spring the awesome thread you started about the Michigan team primed to plummet down the standings as it was losing a big senior class, combined with an unknown freshman class and the potential for many underclassmen like Brandon Burlon to turn pro?
Wishful thinking. Sorry ;)

Re: Early Departures - 2012 Edition

Drew Shore signed his contract this morning and will be flying to San Antonio later today.

Re: Early Departures - 2012 Edition

BU's Alex Chiasson forgoes his senior year (but will still graduate this summer) and signs with Dallas (Texas Stars.)

@Buccigross: Hearing JT Brown from UMD is down to Phiily, Boston and Tampa Bay #cawlidgehawky

Apparently he went to Flyers prospect camp on his own dime last summer, they may be the leader in the clubhouse.

When I saw you were the most recent poster I figured you were hanging out in this thread hoping to hear Troy Jutting's name called :D

Re: Early Departures - 2012 Edition

JT Brown decides to sign with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kid will be fun to watch at the next level.

Re: Early Departures - 2012 Edition

Us Bolts fans are stoked about this kid. People seem somewhat surprised he chose Tampa over the other teams he was considering, but no state income tax and a chance to play with Stamkos has to be awesome.

Re: Early Departures - 2012 Edition

Matt Tennyson is (very) likely leaving WMU a year early and signing with the San Jose Sharks. No verification yet: the Sharks wait until the guy arrives in Worcester before announcing signings.

Edit: McKenzie confirms it.

As they should be. You are getting one hell of a right wing. Good hands, great shot, and is an extremely quick skater. His defensive game isn't bad by any means, but he is more an offensive minded guy.

Not to mention, it doesn't hurt when the GM himself, Mr Stevie Y comes to watch him play about a half dozen times.

Class Act.

I can't think of any team that wouldn't want JT. Kid is an offensive wizard with remarkable speed. Not to mention he'll learn from Stammer, St. Louis, etc for a few years as well. Some very great players on and off the ice.
