100%. It now helps fund the Russian war efforts.

And it also floods our market with "cheap" diesel so any US company now has more they can sell to Europe.

Once that faucet is turned off again, US prices will raise.

It's just cheap theatrics just before the midterms.
 
Congress *just* imposed new sanctions on Russia and any country doing energy business with them. I am 100% certain they will stand up to him on this.

Said on Tuesday, now it's Friday, and still not filled. So I guess next they'll say it will be filled in two weeks, which is also when the infrastructure and health care bills will be introduced and the Strait will re-open.

Assuming we saw the same source on this (Mr. Global), I think this is just a ploy to get some headlines and online chatter. It won't have an influence on what is seen at the pump (basically we're getting 7-10% of the daily US Diesel export brought in from Russia, but spread out over an entire month).

I also think that there may be a military component to this. That just seems like how a deal like this would come together. It may not be the US giving Russia weapons directly. More so probably the US withholding some form of military support from Eastern Europe.

It's been instructive watching Polish news. They've given up on the US -- they know Dump is an agent of Putin, and they know the corn fed American voter is stupid and gullible and will eventually just do this again. Meanwhile they are annoyed at how big a pussy Western Europe is. It's a helluva thing when the only major European economic power standing up against Russia is (checks notes)... France? The Germans in particular have their heads in the sand and for all anybody knows the AfD will be goosestepping through the Bundestag soon.

Yeah, the French have a problem with Le Pen and those xenophobe fasc, too, but the French will Luigi en masse if the corporate parasites get too far over their skiis. The Latvians of all people have a fifth column fasc problem too, with some mouth-breathers trying to channel Dumpishness. Every country has its imbeciles and criminally insane.

Why would they need to bribe him? He's desperately trying to avoid a crushing defeat at the polls. I'm sure he thought this was a brilliant plan. "See? The Great Negotiator and your favorite President fixed the diesel problem! Vote Republican, early and often!"

There's is no way they would take the torture.

They are all scared, weak little men puffing themselves up and punching down on people lower than themselves, one, because they can, and two, because it serves to convince themselves that they ARE the big, brave, strong soldiers fighting for a worthy cause.

Punch one of them in the mouth, and they're just a quivering little pile of jello.
