Dump Term 2 Part 5: He Didn't Specify Which Civilization Would Die...

When I was trying to get a settlement from my disability insurance they told me my case wasn't fit to be settled. Hmmm Why was that? Oh, because the actuarial tables said I would be dead soon, so why pay me a lump sum now when they can just wait for me to die? I said betting on sports or blackjack was pretty boring when you could work for an insurance company and bet on people's life and death. And if they die you get a bigger bonus!

Idea for a thriller: A new employee at an insurance company tries to make a name for himself by denying claims, then quietly killing the claimant to increase his bonus and improve his numbers. Eventually he works his way up to become the CEO...
 
I can't stomach reading him. Is Vance honestly saying we ought to end the US dollar reserve currency status?

I hate the Empire. But if we do that we'll be the UK by Thursday. It is literally the only thing that has kept the US solvent ever since Ronnie stopped taxing the rich and blew up the debt.

I would support it if Vance also said we are reducing the Department of War and Department of Homeland Security budgets to, literally, zero. I'd give it a shot. But otherwise this guy's a lunatic who knows nothing about how anything works.

An interesting pitch to use on the campaign trail. I'm sure voters will love it.

Unless, of course, there aren't going to be meaningful elections anymore...
 
And to add to this, Trump has now threatened to bomb the hell out of Oman if they "interfere in back channel negotiations" with Iran.

Oman.

The one middle eastern country dragged into this mess that has famously remained neutral and even rejected originally to be part of the Tolling/Fees discussion.

Same country that has a great working relationship with the US Military by allowing the US to access over a half dozen ports of call and allows the US to station nearly a thousand troops there.

Trump wants to bomb them if they "interfere."


Everything is a nail when you're holding a hammer. 😡

Jesus Christ, this administration can't die soon enough.... It is going to take years to fix these relationships, if they can be fixed. I would like to think that most of these nations know the he is insane.......

Maybe, but we (as a country) voted for him a second time, with more votes and a bigger win than his first time. I wouldn't trust the American people a single bit to get this right, if we even are given a chance to do so. I took the asshole both literally and seriously when he said he wanted to be dictator on day 1. While my attention span has shortened over the years, I also remember January 6, 2021. I guess we were in the minority.
 
Yeah, people in other countries aren't just going to start liking us again once the child rapist war criminal goes away. There were 77 million people who voted for him (and another 85 who didn't vote) and they're not going away anytime soon.

We proved, twice, we are always at most 4 years away from this.

The US will not recover until we do something that demonstrably ends the dipshit menace. We have learned the tolerance paradox that the intolerant cannot be tolerated in a civilized, democratic society.

I dunno how you do it, short of somehow tying voting rights to empathy.
