Dump Term 2 Part 3: "But I Say Unto You, Hate Thy Enemies." -- Revulsions 5:44

Yes. Venezuelan oil is grittier than the Alberta oil sands and would require even more processing steps and ability than we currently do for Canadian oil (and oil producers are on record as not wanting to deal with the Canadian oil because of the production process). I've seen that Venezuelan oil's break even point is close to $80/bbl which... *checks CNBC.com* WTI is currently $23 off that mark and hasn't been $80 since pre-inauguration.

Also, current oil rigs in the US are shutting down at an alarming rate, as WTI continues to trade at or below the US break even point.

Someone somewhere mentioned it would take $100B over a decade to get things up to speed. And hoping with that cost over that time that nothing changes geo-politically and that Trump doesn't change course on plans every two weeks like he already does. Bigger reserves in the world mean jack if you can't do anything with it.

I'm sure smarty pants business man calculated that all in.

It is all pure profit if all the costs are borne by the taxpayer and all the profit is taken by the rich minus Dump's vig.

Dump has stated clearly that the difference between this and Iraq is we're keeping the oil. Seems pretty imperialistic. The other difference appears to be that besides the head of the snake we're not doing regime change.

Congress has abdicated any responsibility. Stephen Miller, Marco Rubio, and the Keg Idiot are all smiles.

Or..... the oil execs know that the Dump regime has three years left on it, and there isn't a guarantee the pendulum will not violently swing back to the Democrats who would likely wash their hands of dumps mess and return Venzuela to Venezuela. Corporations can't predict long term efforts in a government that shifts faster than the wind.

It's Trump, he could change his mind or lose interest this month, much less in three years.
