The AFGE also asks employees who received it to email their direct supervisor to ask of they should follow the directive. The ol' cover your ass with documentation method.

The biggest takeaways I've seen from this on Reddit is this is just a quick and dirty loyalty test.
 
What I have feared all along is a military run by people who are loyal only to the commander-in-chief. We are moving rapidly towards that now. Throughout the history of this nation the most senior officers and enlisted personnel have had a deep seated belief in the constitution. They vowed to give their lives defending it. The only thing that will save this country is if enough of the people who actually do (and order) the shooting in our military have the balls to refuse to shoot the wrong people and decide to shoot the right ones instead. The likes of Hegseth and the other trump loyalist who will soon be in all of the highest ranking positions within our military infrastructure aren't going to be carrying rifles in the streets. Those who will are more than likely going to be tested in the next couple of years.

We had an opportunity to end this nightmare through political, legal and mostly non-violent means. Our politicians fumbled the ball dozens of times by dragging their feet and shirking their responsibilities. I fear now ONLY violence will end the nightmare. Maybe the rest of the world is paying close enough attention and only Americans will suffer the greatest losses.
 
Stockmarket is in a nosedive. Isn't that part of the reason these clowns got elected? I'd like to benefit from anything at this point. So far it's a 100% negative for me.

I am all for unironically seceding.
1. Rewrite the Constitution with liberal values, stronger checks and balances, no states. A single federal Republic of American Democracy (RAD) with a unicameral House whose districts are generated by best fit algorithm insulated from political pressures. Elect the President by popular vote. 18-year term SCOTUS terms appointed every 2 years.
2. Apply to Paris Climate Accords, UN, NATO, SEATO, etc. Hell, apply to the EU.
3. Abrogate the entire US debt.
4. Double the salary/retirement of every US serviceman who stays with us.
