Dump Term 2, 1.01: Sleep Now in the Fire

Honestly, Canada, the EU and everyone else who wants to should bum rush us with retaliatory tariffs anyways. They should do everything they can to kill our business and make it hurt bad. Time the people really knew how much we can't fend for ourselves.

Then, when he does something bigly stupid they should make a public threat to sell off our debt and watch the markets implode.

If the tariffs drag on through February, I foresee our national park land being sold off by Memorial Day or July 4th at the latest.

And one, is Muskrat even a citizen of this country?

He has no position that has Constitutional authority, DOGE is an "advisory" board, and none of these people have security clearances to have access to any of the stuff they want.

And yet, here we are. The party that whined about unelected bureaucrats making all the decisions has turned the entire government over to an unelected bureaucrat.

And Sic and Hovey are just fine with that.
Pretty sure he is. He's also a Canadian citizen by birth so there's a tinfoil hat theory going around that this is why there's a push for Canada being the 51st state. The person posting this was doing it 98% in jest, 2% chin scratching.

you should probably read my post as a shitpost. Because that's what most of them are.
Oh, I knew that. That's what the LOL was for. But I did want to emphasize to those who have never worked in a SCIF, security is not like they portray in TV or a movie. It's up to the people working in a SCIF to make sure someone doesn't tail them through a combination lock door when a secure person opens it and the self reporting of people who work in one if they accidently take classified documents out or bring in a cellphone or other forbidden electronic device.

True, but we do have uniformed, armed personnel on site and if someone refused to stop hooking up hard drives when challenged, I would not hesitate one second to call them in.

Like I said in earlier post, they supply most of the petroleum products in Maine and a great part in New England. Its not just fuel oil and propane but most of the gasoline, diesel and Jet fuel used in Maine

I've been in private data centers with more physical security (as in, guests were followed/escorted all times by an ex-mil guy with a high-powered assault rifle) than an average SCIF.

Well if they refuse to show up for Quorum that means no appointments can happen in theory. There are temporary ways around it though.

Next move is to deny unanimous consent. That was how Tuberville blocked military appointments. In every case you can use it they have to at this point. Lock the whole thing up in red tape. The Press will be dicks about it, but lets be honest they are dicks anyways and no one seems to care anymore.

It was impressive to get Canada to announce $1.3B in border funding that they already announced last fucking December if anyone was paying attention. Truly the greatest negotiator ever. Too afraid of the consequences of his own threats so he took fake accomplishments as a victory.

As always Trump usurps the accomplishments of others.

Typically there are nice young men with crew cuts and ARs in a guard shack outside the building. Because the working assumption is the threat will come from outside the building.

Dump and Elmo are the ultimate Insider Threat. Dump can, very likely, simply declare what he wants as legal and only a responsible and principled Court could stop him.

Hint: this Court isn't that.

My brush with history:

I suggested this photo from WaPo of the Women in American Cryptology wall was malicious compliance because it makes such a gut punch statement it is the equivalent of the Juden storefronts from Kristallnacht.

I just (this minute) discovered the woman who heads the group that originally put that wall display up is a guest in my house this week.
