Just to clarify this- that DEI scholarship is from the Alumni Association, not the University (it's called the LEAD program). U of M was banned to give minority scholarships in 2006 due to a lawsuit against minority based scholarships.

Not that this is good, and we will certainly express our repercussions on that program, but it does need clarified.

Well, the post was incorrect. I'm sure the school influenced the Alumni Association, but they are totally separate institutions. It's how minority scholarships were even offered after the 2006 lawsuit. It's impossible for the University to end something now when it was ended 19 years ago.

Again, please stop with the broad brushes. I've seen those people, too, but it's hardly all of us. If your goal is to alienate people who agree with you, I guess you can keep doing it.
