There is always someone in the bottom half that you don't want to see come to town in the first round. To me, this year, that's Denver. We have had an incredibly frustrating season, but it's not because the team is bad, it's because the team is inconsistent. But sometimes those teams come up huge when they need to. You're taking me wrong.

To me, it looks like it's either you or us with home ice first round, or at least we have the best chance of staying ahead of you (rather than passing someone else) based on the current standings.

Wasn't meant as disrespect, I just want a home playoff series.

We're all very aware of Denver's success in Madison. There are a few teams I'd rather play than you guys if I could pick.

I know we all miss Puck Swami a lot, so I thought I'd pass along something I recently heard somewhere. Swami thinks UND has far too much talent and character for DU to have any chance of getting any points this weekend. He thinks the Pios will likely start gooning it up by the second period when the game is out of reach and that Gwoz will try to cheat, as usual.

That all sounds pretty solid to me, and if any of you Pio fans want to dipute it, you probably better get Swami in here to deny he said those things. Until then, it's all pretty much gold.

I wouldn't pretend for speak for Swami, but the only gold I see here is fool's gold.:D:p:D

Speaking of dwindling population...check out magness tonight. :D I will give DU credit for their promotion to draw more fans to the game tonight. According to the staff at Magnuss - they will be giving away a jersey autographed by the whole team between the second and third period. I am jealous of whoever wins it... I could always use another UND jersey.;)

I did indeed. And I definitely understand. I REALLY hope DU doesn't have to go on the road.

I would guess Magness will be pretty full. It does crack me up how Dirty thinks DU fans will get upset about his observation that people don't go to DU games. Of course, it's pretty hard to get people to go see a team they've never heard of, and I'm pretty sure most people in Denver don't know DU has a hockey team. Some people in Denver don't even know that the school exists.

Well of course you won't be upset. You have about two more fans than CC. That's some great publicity DU has when no one knows they exist.

That's a big win tonight. I will be very surprised if we get another one tomorrow, but I will happily take two points this weekend.

Got the W that was ours for sure. Good bump in the PWR. Glad to see the Greenies leaving with their tails low. :D

Classic late season battle. Glad to see DU shooting the puck instead of the dipsy doodle ****--especially on the PP. 80 shots on goal! Loney was a work horse tonight. UND has a sick first line. They can move the puck so precisely. Knight's goal was incredible. Loved seeing Rocco in action. He's a class act. Sioux's issue is in between the pipes.

UND got DUfeated on national television but it looked like playoff hockey so it was still fun to watch

Sounds like a good game last night. Gwoz always has them ready. Looks like no drop in PW for Sioux, but they need 2 tonight.

Faithful ND hockey fan now living in Wyoming but heading to Denver for the game tonight. Is there any usual spot for ND fans to meet up before the game? If not where would be a good place to go before the game tonight in Denver?

Wow; I didn't realize that Saunders transferred from UAH - and he was in the Alabama net last year when they beat DU in Magness, and turned out to be a huge non-con factor at the end of the year for Denver. He scares me.

Very true. Two very soft goals by Gothberg and a poorly played shot that led to a rebound goal by Saunders.
