I've been trying to figure out my new laptop (evidently it's not good to put them through the dishwasher) with Windows 8. Think I've got it figured out, more or less. In Jay's customary blizzard of clichés he talked about UAA having nothing to lose. Let's get serious shall we? With no offense intended, if DU can't beat these guys twice at home, then they don't deserve home ice for the playoffs. There's a reason these guys have only won a couple of games this year, and it isn't the officiating.

Also, did I hear Jay pronounce it Hoyt "Brown-er" instead of Hoyt Brawner? What an idiot that guy is.

A buddy of mine who I went to grade school with is at the game. He'll be REALLY unhappy if the Hawks lose. Won't do much for me, either.

One of my best days ever: I was scouting Lambda Chi vs. Kappa Sig in football and Hoyt walked over and mentioned he'd recommended me for a job at KLZ. My first job, as it turns out. Also, when we established a pre-season invitational basketball tournament, Hoyt agreed to present the trophies. We won the first tournament 67-65, beating Lambda Chi on a last second half court shot. Hoyt said it was one of the best games he'd ever seen. And I was forced to agree with him. So maybe I'm a little sensitive of that idiot mispronouncing Hoyt's name. He also coached the Pioneers into the NIT, back in the days when the NIT was an outstanding tournament.
