Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

The only drinking website I remember from college was droogle.com. You put in what you had, it told you what you could make. You could also look up all sorts of variants of drinks.

Google shut them down after a year or so. Haven’t tried to find them in years.

There also was idrink, IIRC. Same concept.

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Mixing wine with booze is likely the culprit.

I used to get horrific hangovers.

Day long... kidneys even hurt a few times.

Ever since I stopped mixing wine or beer with booze, I almost never get hangovers anymore.

And I put em down.

I always heard, liquor then wine, you will be fine.
and liquor then beer, you're in the clear

And on the converse, beer before liquor, your going to get sicker.

But I guess a lot of that has to do with the time frame and if you ate, etc.. Slam 6 shots of liquor and follow that up immediately with as many beers as you can as fast as you can and being in the clear is probably not an option, lol.

I still love the "reviews" on the bum wine site. I don't think you can even buy Cisco anymore, and it's been years since I saw Night Train for sale. They used to have that and Wild Irish Rose on the bottom shelf at the Houghton Econo Foods, right next to the MD 20/20, Boone's Farm, and Manischewitz.

I saw them both Cisco and Night Train for sale in a liquor store out in Vegas last December, I believe, when I was out there. Although I've been wrong before. :)

Didn't see any Wild Irish Rose, though?

MD 20/20......*shudder* aka "Mad Dog 20/20"

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

Holy crap have I got a story involving Mad Dog. Can't/won't share it here. So awful. So amazing. So ridiculous. Considering creating a screenplay.

Well, its a Heineken brand, so more like Heineken in a gold can, which is only slightly less terrible than Bud.

He told me they have local wine, so will be switching to a nice red next

Reg Bud is okay for uber cheap macro beer. Heineken is slightly less palatable than anything Miller (actual Miller, not Miller owned) and wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more palatable than Bud Light, or Dry.

Re: Drinking Thread: Three Sheets To The Wind

I was evil today. Picked up a Grape-a-rita tallboy can to share. Yes, everyone hated me for it, but all 4 of us chugged our sample down like champs. It wasn't as bad as we thought it would be, but it was bad. Really bad. When I set the can on the bar, that stink eye from the others was felt to the bone. :D
