Bell's Amber Ale. One sip in and it's already a better beer than Fat Tire.

For tonight so far 2012 The Abyss which was excellent and a bottle of Maine Beer Company Dinner. After having 3 bottles of Dinner since it's release last Wednesday it's definitely at the top of my list for DIPA's too bad it's been a brewery release only so far.

Watching the hockey game and enjoying good old reliable Crown and Coke.

Last two games, I haven't had a drop and the Hawks win.

Had a hankerin' for Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider. Also picked up some Finch's Wet Hot American Wheat Ale. The former so hit the spot. The latter...a little hoppy which surprised me. But it's good. Never had it before.

Tried the El Dorado 12 and it was sublime.

The order came in for BBCs though and I was happy to oblige. They're perfect at the end of a long warm day.

Bailey's, Lt. Rum, Coconut Rum, Coconut Juice and a banana served frozen.

On the deck listening to 10 ft. Ganja Plant (reggae) and enjoying the evening.

:)

10 Ft Ganja Plant is reggae? Noooooooooooo ;)

Re: Drinking Thread: Beer, Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Wine - Raise a Glass, All Are Welcome

Wife is done with BBCs, so I am too. Now doing the Cruzan single barrel and while it's very nice, it's having a hard time competing with the Eldorado 12, which I'll be going back to soon.

Had some more of the Eldorado 12 and I have to say... What a score.

Now everyone went to bed, so I grabbed the Zacapa 23 Solera and a glass and am finishing the night in style.

Breeze in the treetops, warm, lightning in the distance, satellites passing from time to time, stars overhead, sublime reggae playing and great rum (neat, no less). Pretty cool moment.

Finally had the Rubaeus. Loved it. Do they not make Cerise anymore? Or was it a one-time seasonal thing? It's not listed on their webpage.

IIRC, the cherry crop wasn't good enough/plenty enough so they switched to raspberries last year. Maybe the sales of the Rubaeus made it so they won't bring back Cerise? I love both beers, but prefer the Rubaeus.

I like the Rubaeus better too.

Friend of mine brought a couple of 4-packs of Heady Topper back from Vermont for me... It's very good, though the hype leading up to it makes it seem like a let down... It's an 8% DIPA, with hops that are not overly aggressive but go on for days... #1 on Beer Advocate's top 250 list with a 100 rating... also received a 100 rating from Ratebeer.com...

Agree. Pretty good beer but overhyped.

Evil Twin Even More Jesus. Um, yes. Very much yes. And "used motor oil" is a very accurate description.

Also tried Central Waters La Petite Mort, a bourbon barrel aged weissenbock. VERY tasty, and cheap: about $8 for a bomber.
