Sadly, that part was not.

Booze hit me harder than normal that night hence my son not having to convince me that it was a great idea to blow **** up. :D

Bluegrass Brewing Company's Bourbon Barrel Stout is excellent. 3 bottles of it are coming home with me on the corporate jet. :D

Been making the rounds through Belgium of late, De Ranke XXX, De Molen Cease & Desist, De La Senne Taras Boulbas, De Dolle Dulle Teve 10 and supplementing it with local breweries. Seems like a new brewery pops up in Maine every other week....

Seriously, I've averaged over 1 new beer a day since I installed it around Christmas time. Makes me not want to drink the same thing twice, which is kind of fun.

Exactly. I am trying so many new beers since I started using it. It makes drinking beer even more fun than it usually is!

Tried Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shutdown Ale. Like it. A lot. Wish I would have tried it earlier and bought more. Excellent beer. Some hop flavor, that isn't overpowering, very easy to drink, refreshing. I can't believe this stuff is almost 10% abv.

that's the biggest value i've found in it... followed by the ability to see what a couple of friends that do a lot of brewing themselves are trying...

I try to make it a point to try something new for the most part. This thread and the Got Beer? Thread on GPL, as well as the Old Chicago World Beer Tour helps that along.

As for the Undercover, y'all know me and hops. And I really liked that beer.

Nice. My number would be well north of 200, but I usually forget to untap the last 2 or 3 beers of the night.

If I did that, I know I'd try and remember all the beers I've tried and enter them. That would be a lot of work.

So I go to the liquor store to pick up the Cruzan Single Barrel that I've been wanting to try (and that I can get a rebate on) and what new arrival is sitting there making eyes at me?

El Dorado 12 Year


Never seen this before at the stores that I frequent and couldn't resist. Will give it a whirl tonight.


New Rule: Can't buy any more new bottles until there is space open on the shelf.

No chance I stick to this rule.

Killed the Pyrat X.O. last week and now I'm gonna have to off another to accommodate the El Dorado.
