Re: Dr. Clayton Forrester's Science Roundup

I sat outside last night from 9:00 to 9:30. Saw three meteors. Saw lots of small-engine jet aircraft, always 3 or 4 in the sky at the same time throughout the entire duration.

I saw one, thought "this is a lot colder than during the Perseids," and went inside.

Space War is still subject to Newton and Kepler. It's not Star Trek where you can stop on a dime (or asteroid).

Couldn't the space ship build a sort of gravity (or atmosphere ) bubble around itself allowing it to perform like a plane does on earth? :D

Re: Dr. Clayton Forrester's Science Roundup

I shudder to imagine what would happen if for some reason the capsule were forced to a sudden stop mid-flight.

I wonder how Warren Buffett will price the liability insurance they'll need before they can let the public use it....a bit more than he charged Quicken Loans to insure their NCAA bracket challenge I bet!
I would venture the same as un/controlled flight into terrain for an airplane.

It's a really cool time to be alive.

Well, OK, it's pretty much always a really cool time to be alive. But between this and mind controlled-prosthetic limbs and successful experiments with quantum entanglement, screw flying cars -- this is so much cooler.
