Lucia was the first choice, Mike Guentzel second and nobody third. At the time UND's Blais was more interested in receiving an extension from UND so Minnesota didn't even want to waste their time.

Maybe too much damage from a player recruitment standpoint if you go after Blais when at UND and he says no.
