Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

Anybody else notice that this thread seems to have a mind of it's own. It keeps bumping itself to the top every few days with no new posts as if it were trying to say something to the brain trust like...where is the USCHO poll for D3 Women's hockey? Maybe it's just VooDoo... :)

I see "other" is continuing to lead and has since mid September... wonder if that is adding to the confusion.

Any new vote in the poll would bump it to the top, even without a corresponding post.

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

Maybe it was certain people trying to cast multiple votes. Silly buggers. :)

Unless you know how to hack the USCHO software, you cannot vote multiple times with the same userid. The top of the poll will indicate if you have already voted.

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

OK I'll admit it was a pretty weak lead-in to get to my point. But seriously does anyone know when the D3 USCHO womens poll comes out? I'm anxious to see where Adrian sits....

If the timing of the D1 poll is any indication, in the week preceeding the start of the games (exhibition not included).

P.S....Would/Should you not be more anxious on where the Eagles Land? :D.....BTW Did you know that the young lady you met out west, played for a team with the slogan "R U Purple". :D

Yes, I'm aware of that, but it appeared that someone was attempting to do this, which brought the thread to the top somehow. Anyways, no big deal, just thought it to be odd.

Ok sounds about right...as long as they don't wait for the NESCAC'ers to get going.

That young lady may have worn the Purple but she's Orange to the core...:D

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

I'm wondering how the USCHO can make an educated guess for this poll with teams having large rosters that obviously have to be cut down. Will they have this information on rosters before the poll? Does it matter? I'm not familiar with this process, but I'm guessing that non-roster players can still be brought back up, therefore basing it on the full squad. Anyone?

Well at least one person voted today. The vote count went from 68 this afternoon to 69 as it stands right now..

Don't think you need to wait for tryouts. In most cases the core of each team is a known commodity already, and it is the caliber of the core of the team that largely drives the voters opinions.

With all due respect you're not following. This was stuff that was going on over the last several weeks. :)

It pops up whenever somebody votes, whether they post or not.

Missed the boat on whatever it is you are alluding to. Bottom line is the vote count is now up to 72. If you are suggesting it was something sinister, fill us in will ya !.

Look at post #18 and figure it out from there. Really onMaa, sometimes you're worse than my wife. :D

Boys, boys, boys...lets go back to the scene of the crime. This is how it went down. I had written down the poll results on a piece of paper then saw the thread go to the top a couple of times. Both times I checked the poll hadn't changed and I wondered how that could happen so I posted this. I inquired away from this thread and my trusty source advised that perhaps someone had posted then quickly deleted said post which in turn would have made the thread bump. Seems logical to me. Soooo....Let's move on nothing to see here.

BTW the last time I checked "other" was still leading this poll but the Corner Crew must be rallying the troops! ;)

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

The downfall of this poll was that it was based off of the last USCHO poll of the season. There's is probably 3 schools there getting votes. So by that logic RIT is leading.

I suppose I could have waited for the preseason poll to come out, but that just happened this week. =) Barring that, it's all I had to go on.

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

Hey anyone know if the Gustavus roster is out yet - heard they had 48 players try out for 23 spots - high competition which should result in top player. Good luck to the 2011-12 Team!

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll

No roster out yet but I do know there were some girls from last years team that did not make this years team.

Re: Division III Pre-Season Poll
