DIII Scoreboard

4 NESCAC teams in the field and a ****ing 10 seed in the quarterfinals. Go ahead and post the “This is fine” dog in the burning house meme now. NCAA at an all time low

Oh, but it is perfectly fine to have what looks like a 3 seed playing 6th seed in the quarterfinals??? Shouldn't a 10 seed always have to play a quarterfinal in a 11 team field? Eleven team field the top 3 seed are the ones that have earned and deserve the quarterfinal bye's.

Six seed is getting a very very very slight advantage but they also beat the 2 East powers they played. Three seed deserves the bye. This is not egregious in the slightest. When the WIAC gets their auto (meaning 2 teams can get in outside of an oddity) and the NCHA builds up future monsters in SNC and Aurora, and the cross-region scheduling can get MARGINALLY better (i.e. it’s fair to judge non con metrics and these teams can all qualify for the NCAAs) watch how fast the budget gets changed. It will be immediately. When it’s old money that’s getting boned, THEN the NCAA will magically care.

Question for the Cardinal fans out there: I haven't seen a ton of Plattsburgh this year (only a couple games), but they look real impressive on paper. How does this team compare to last year's? I do remember thinking heading in they could really give Middlebury a run and thought they'd pull the upset in the natty. Obviously, it didn't shake out that way, but has this team improved a lot since last season?

They are a good solid team. Not quite the fire power of the pre-covid teams but defense is strong.
