Guys, my apologies for stirring things up and provoking anger. It was not my intention, nor did I intend to infer that Klinger deserves player of the year. He faced a total of 52 shots over the weekend according to the USCHO scoreboard, a good show but not the most amazing thing we've seen in the past. The fact remains, he has been nominated at least 2-3 times and hasn't gotten it, and I felt his showing this week does deserve recognition. When I read the posts stating concern over alibis and a large number of votes for one player so quickly, I guess I over-reacted on behalf of Klinger (even if everything I said was factual), to try and get more people to vote. I do not regret my post, but do regret offending anyone if I did. I follow and post on this site because it is fun and there are many excellent teams and players out there who don't get enough recognition (and I am not saying Klinger is one of them). I'll try to be a little more reserved with my enthusiasm in the future. Good night and have "fun".
