DIII Next year

As of today (5/20/25), 133 CHL players have committed to D1 schools for the 25'-26' season. With the lower roster limits, (and assuming these CHL kids will make their teams) that's 5+ full rosters that will be forced to play down this Fall should they wish to continue their careers in ice hockey. CC is listed as having a USHL recruit, and I don't recall any USHL kids playing D3 at least in my small subset of the sport.
The last player to go from a regular player in the USHL to D3 was Jayson Dobay. He played 2 years and 104 games for Youngstown before Utica.

just looked at neutral zone, of the last 25 D1 recruits 12 are from the Canadian Big leagues,,OHL QMJHL etc...wow gonna crush many who though/think they are going D1...

There is absolutely no reason for D1 schools to recruit outside of the Major Junior Leagues going forward. Sure, there are a few players in the BCHL and USHL who are going to be just as good and bounce between Major Junior rosters now; but every other Junior League better get use to the fact they are going to be feeder leagues for D3 programs.
