Artificial sweeteners are actually appetite enhancers. The more you have of them the more you want food. Agree with DC that whole food is better. Also sit down together and plan menu for the week. It isn't that you can't be flexible but when you are tired if the plan is in place and some prep has happened you are more likely to follow thru.
