Except the Sox bullpen is blown. Only Ziegler is reasonably fresh.

Instead of Pelfrey, can we just wheel out a BP pitching machine? It would be far more accurate than what Pelfrey's doing.

And now we're getting picked off 2nd base and making the 1st out of the inning at 3B.

JFC. It's like we're taking turns crapping the bed tonight.

EDIT: And if Upton doesn't get picked off 2nd by the freaking catcher, we've got a 2-run lead. Instead Captain Middlefinger is going to make the 3rd out and we're going to have to sweat out a 1-run lead with Ortiz due in the bottom of the 9th.

Apparently. Verlander took a 2-hitter into the 9th, but only had a 1-0 lead. That lead is gone.

I'm glad a thunderstorm took out my dish so that I didn't have to watch the 9th inning of this. It isn't 1965 anymore. You need more than 1 run to win, boys.

Gotta feel for the CWS centerfielder. Making his major league debut tonight. Got his first major league hit. And just blew his leg out chasing a ball in CF in the 5th inning.
