Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Apparently we're going to grab every lefty in the Blue Jays organization.

We bought him for cash, so nothing off the roster. He hasn't pitched in the majors this year. He pitches Saturday. On his 39th birthday.

I'm glad I'll be at a golf outing this weekend.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

No, he doesn't. He tried to pitch at 49 and got shelled all over the house. Gorzelanny and Fat Joba were amazed by how hard he got hit.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Well, we did call up a guy named Guido today. So there's that, I suppose.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Shane Greene can stay in Toledo until he gets it figured out. I don't care if it takes until 2025.

4-0 final.

A one-hitter for Simon.

No, that is not a typo.

That's a **** fine pitching performance on a night they really needed it.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Norris is out at least four weeks and will likely be shut down for the season. Good move since there's no reason to expose him to risk for the final weeks of the season.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Yeah, I was satisfied with what I saw from him this year.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Verlander got hosed on a 3rd strike that ended the inning. The result of the next pitch put the hitter on third, with a run in.

Miggy's average has gone up 10 points since he returned from the DL (.348 to .358)

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Bad pickoff throw leads to a sac fly. 2-0 Rangers now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

You're going to squeeze Verlander, and then call THAT on Collins?!?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Dammit, Miggy, I don't care if it's a 400-foot shot to the gap. Don't be risking the leg going to 2nd. I don't care if you're safe or not.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

JFC, Miggy, enough is enough. The only thing really worth watching the rest of the season is if you can win a 4th batting title.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

I think he's going to be out. But he should have been thrown out by about 15 feet.

EDIT: He's out.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 8: The Doc Cramer edition

Fine. If you hit the ball like THAT, and it goes to the wall, you can go for two bases.
