Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

They don't have anyone to go to do they. I'm impressed they won 90 games this way.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

**** this team. **** this team right in the ***.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Reason they haven't won a World Series the last 5 years: 50% bullpen & 50% coaching.

Reason they will be eliminated in 1st round this year. 50% bullpen & 50% coaching.

***** this team!

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Gotta factor in the fact that we have roughly 6 batters in the lineup, followed by 3 crippled billy goats.

You mean you and I would stand a better chance of fitting into the 7-8-9 slots in the Tigers lineup?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

There's a few managers out there that may be available.

John Gibbons, Robin Ventura, Fredi Gonzalez, Ron Washington, Ron Gardenhire, Kirk Gibson, Ron Roenicke, Dusty Baker.

The 11 runs allowed by the Tigers bullpen are already the fourth-most in LDS history. It’s Game 2.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

With a ******* for a manager.

I totally disagree about the manager issue. there was a real good reason sanchez could not keep going. second, blame dombrowski. he brought in davis, who can'T field, carrera who can't field or hit, suarez, soria who can't pitch, coke, coke for blank sake, there is only one guy in the bp and that's blaine hardy, the rest are awful. So I blame dombrowski.

the manager has to play someone. they were lucky to be in at all.

Sanchez can't go past 30 pitches? Horse****.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

I don't know of any reason to save Sanchez (who was recently a starter throwing 100 pitches), Al Al, Lobstein, Verlander for that matter, any of whom would have made more sense to plug in there rather than Joba and Soria. 99% of the people watching knew exactly what was coming. There's something really strange going on with this team, I blame Ausmus. What is he saving them for? There's no game tomorrow anyway.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

You'll be happy for the ten seconds before he brings in Anderson.

Better than the derelict that we have. Jeff Jones has been fired by the Tigers on 3 different occasions. And yet here he is as our pitching coach.

Exactly. Why bring in the two guys who f-d up last night's 8th inning (with some help)? You can cobble your way through 3 outs with Al Al Al Al, Coke, Hardy & Co. For God's sake, you only used Al Al Al Al about 153 times this season already.

But noooooo. We got to use our 8th inning guy, because it's the 8th inning, so we use our 8th inning guy, because he always pitches the 8th. Oh, and Soria? He's been on the side of a milk carton, so let's use him back-to-back, and why would we need anyone warming up in the bullpen when it becomes apparent it's not his night? What a silly concept.
