I'm pretty sure Sale didn't make the binoculars sign until he was in the dugout after he was already out of the game. Like I said, it was pretty obvious by Sale's reaction after Martinez's previous at-bat that hitting him was intentional. He probably should have been tossed as soon as he did.

If this had been July and not September, Sale would have woken up this morning with a couple knots on his head, and a shiner or two to go along with.

Garcia's getting dotted next year, too.

Davis just got injured. That's a big blow if it's anything long-term.

Due to KC's loss, the Tigers have clinched at least a tie for the Central crown. They'll do no worse than a Monday playoff for the division crown.

Just how we all drew it up.

Tigers get the Orioles in the first round. Obviously the O's had a great year, but I don't hate that match-up.

So, they gasped and weezed into the playoffs. I smell the Red Wings from 2009- last chance to earn a ring since Victor and Max are probably chasing the money next year.

5-1 vs. orioles this season, but that doesn't mean much other than, we're not playing the Angels (yet.) I kinda hope KC beats the A's and puts those playoff frauds to bed early. I like our chances in Baltimore, other than the fact that our starters give up a ton of gopher balls. A pop fly there qualifies.

it's been a good run- four straight division championships, two pennants and two empty WS trips since 2006. I hope they can do something special, but I just don't see it, even if they beat Baltimore. I think the Angels are better and the Tigers biggest weaknesses are the areas they exploit the best. Big holes in CF, at SS, C and the bullpen.

I'll say Detroit in 5 over the O's and then get the Angels. The Halos take the American League Pennant in 5 games.

The first inning was difficult to watch if you're a Tigers fan, but Victor responds with HR in 2nd.

Scherzer is lucky to have only given up three runs after two. It's going to be a short night for him.

I think Davis' groin might be dead after having to take off early on like six straight pitches.
