once that balk wasn't called, for the Yankees to call it and get the ump to do what they want is total....

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Hey Hammer, I thought I'd check in on you because I've heard completely unsubstantiated rumors that you've been placed on Suicide Watch. I can understand it's been a tough week for you with the Tigers losing their closer for the rest of the season and Dr. Heimlich's failure to reach the Red Wings' bench in time to prevent the Lightning's victory last night. But remember, good things always come in threes so there's a decent chance that next week your Lions will draft a player, sign him to a lifetime contract and then watch as the guy plays himself out of the league and into his true calling as a cab driver for the rest of his life. Hey, as some inexpensive emotional therapy if Detroit has a soccer team maybe you could start rooting for that bunch. Just a thought.;)

In all seriousness, I hope your Red Wings can rally and win the series as I'd enjoy seeing them play my Montreals in the second round.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

The Wings are about as dead as Michael Rchards' acting career, and the Lions have probably done that 3-4 times over my lifetime.

As for the soccer team, I'll pass. I understand why people riot at those games. I'd want to destroy the stadium too, if that was all I had to watch in my country.

3-4? I think that's a low-ball estimate.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Alex Wilson's first pitch as a Tiger gets deposited approximately 380 feet from home plate.

9-1 Cleeeeveland, top 5.

We're done here for the night.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Well, at least Ryan Raburn wasn't the one that hit it.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

Gee, boys, not hard to figure out why Al Al's ERA is so high high. Especially when his pitch pitch gets hit over the wall wall.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

So did everyone that bats for Cleveland, apparently. That's how we got to 11-1.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 7: The George Kell edition

13-1. Any other team and I'd have the homer light out.

What else do we have in Toledo? Let's see just how far they can hit one off of our AAA bullpen.

3 to 4 times?? Hell, the Lions probably choke away that many games a year.

Gotta think that Al's days are numbered.
