Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Now Jimmy thinks he needs to use 17 pitchers to get two outs.

We're done.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Thanks, Jimmy. Appreciate it. Now choke on your 17th Marlboro of the night, you emaciated mother****ing piece of ****.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Go sit your *** back down in the dugout, Leyland. You've ****ed up enough tonight. Bringing in 5 more pitchers isn't going to help.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Mike Ilitch is dying without a World Series ring. He's going to be the Gene Autry of the Tigers.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

You know boegarts walked twice on strike three, then we get a grounder for what should have been the third out. I don't think the strike zone was the same for both teams at all. Buchholz was getting strikes on balls out of the zone quite a bit.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Fielder at the plate. Gee, I wonder what's going to happen here.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

He put his money where his mouth was. Can't fault him for that. Now, for the ten years before Dombrowski got here, we can certainly have quite the conversation.

He also bought us Martinez, Hunter, and okayed the trade for Cabrera, among many others.

dombrowski wanted those guys, not Fielder. the only guy here who wanted him was mr I and now we got what we deserve. he cost us at least two runs tonight with his great baserunning.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Well, he bought Fielder because he knew he needed a replacement for Martinez' bat after he wrecked his knee a couple years ago. Otherwise Cabrera doesn't put up anything close to what he did in 2012.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

With our team, it's over. We're done mentally.

Agreed. We piddled another chance down our legs. Mental giants. Feel bad for our starting staff, but that's it. I thought Sherzer got squeezed on that 3-2 pitch... could have changed the complexion of the inning.

See ya next year, Tigers.
