1-0 final.

Max has 21 wins.

It is over.

I don't think I like that kid spraying champagne in the clubhouse.

Upon further review, I don't think that's champagne, especially if they're pouring it on the kid.

No, it was made very clear that it was "juice"- in respect to Miggy.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Gates Brown has died. :(

EDIT: His number was already on the list.

Miggy gets his 2nd hit of the night, a single that normally would be a double.

If that's the end of the season for him, I'm completely on board.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

With the Marlins firing Beinfest and Fleming this afternoon, it looks like that greaseball owner down there is going to try to ruin the franchise again. I wonder what the price would be this offseason for Stanton.

A bag of used baseballs and a Pitching Machine to be named later.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

No talk about Alvarez's NO-HITTER? How he HASN'T ALLOWED A HIT ALL GAME?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Twitch...,

This is the worst lineup I've seen since our 100 loss days. We deserve this.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Now comes the hardest out in his pitching career.

But he's looking @ a no decision right now.

Edit: 27 outs without a hit, but not yet a no-no.

Wild pitch, run scores, Marlins win. Most anticlimactic no-hitter ever.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Well I guess I'm not really surprised by that ending. What else could be expected to happen when a virtual AAA team is playing the worst NL team on the last day of the season? Zero effs were given by Leyland that game.

Also, Putkonen sucks.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

*bump*

Just wanted to say it s**cks that this game (Tigers @ A's) isn't on until 9:37 EDT. Plus, I'll probably have had enough of baseball with three games preceeding the game in Oakland--not that I'm going to watch all the games.

Anyway, GO TIGERS ! ! ! Go, Max ! ! !

I'll tell ya the A's worry me. the last time they were here they beat us like a drum.I look for them to try to get the starter out of the game by the fifth, and to feast on the bull pen. I also look for them to shut down most of our hitting.
I hope I'm wrong.
let's hope JV and max can last into the 7th or 8th and that the bull pen comes thru. I expect some very tight games.

I am of the same thought about the A's; but, like you said, I hope I'm wrong. And, right, I hope Max, JV, Anibal, and Mister Fister are all on their game. But, the A's have good pitching as well, so we'll see if the Tigers can hit good pitching.

I don't know who the color guy on TBS is, but we don't even have an out and his voice is annoying me.
