Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

The major league post season K record is held by Detroit vs. Bob Gibson in 68? (17)

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

That was Game 1 of the '68 Series. He put on a clinic that series.....until the 7th inning of Game 7.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

The Red Six are either completely baffled by the Tigers' pitching or completely psyched out by Joe West's schtick. Probably both.

just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're not after you.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Now Fielder can hit his fly ball to RC and we can go sweat and curse it out in the bottom of the 9th.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Well, he did say "no hitter" about 50 times last inning.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

I would've thought Drew would be the one to bust it up. *shrug*

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Now let's throw a strike, Mr. Benoit. This isn't Oakland. You don't have a 4-run lead.

1-0 final.

It's gonna be like this all series, I suspect.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 6: The Al Kaline edition

Veras was the best I have seen him all year. that curve was unhittable, and Albuquerque did a great job in a tough spot. I think the tigers left what 13 men on base? great game in a very tough place to play.

And now Martinez goes shopping at the gap.
