Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Nice throw, Ricky. We could have been out of the inning there.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Joe West sighting at 1st base. Gong show warning in effect for the weekend.

7-0 final.

Rondon's all over the place in the 9th, but he fans two and closes it out.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Nice of him having enough of a cushion that all he really has to worry about is getting the three outs.

If he didn't drop that on purpose (and I don't think he did, seeing as how he was looking at the runner when the ball hit his mitt), that clearly is a double play.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Torii Hunter needs a single to hit for the cycle today.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

I don't think I would have used Smyly in a 9-2 game this afternoon.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Six All Stars so far:

Cabrera, Fielder, Hunter, Verlander, Scherzer, Peralta.

Benoit on the Final vote.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Ryan Raburn hits a 2-run bomb with 2 out in the 9th in a 9-2 game. Typical.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Darrin Downs to the DL, Evan Reed recalled.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

4-1 Cleeeeeveland in the bottom of the 1st. Looks like I'll be grilling or catching up on Netflix early this afternoon.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Twitterverse reports that Miggy and Prince executed a double steal.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

Torii clubs a 3-run shot to tie it at 6.

I did not watch when Miggy miggied in the 1st. I did not watch when Torii tied it a few minutes ago. But I'm watching now.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

And, naturally, I was watching when Brantley clubbed another one, this time off of Al-Al. It went bye-bye.

8-6 Tribe, bottom 8.

That's probably the ballgame, folks.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 5: The Hank Greenberg edition

1-0, top 2, but we're probably looking at a rain delay, sooner rather than later.
