Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition
So it looks like I'll be watching the team in sole possession of first place in the AL Central on Friday, just like I assumed I would be when I first saw these games on the schedule back in April.
Six games on the road and the worst we can do is start those in a tie with the Sox. Of course, considering the Tigers road record, I agree... this thing is over, with the Tigers going 3-3 on the road. The Sox can't possibly do worse than their losing 7 out of 8 slide... or can they?

Two runs in the first. Let's hope Fister doesn't **** it away.
By the way, Prince was thrown out easily at home for the third out. Rod's analysis of the throw that got him: "This is how you do it. Gordon takes his time...........he's got a lot of time......and delivers a strike that gets Prince by about 5 feet."

This morning, I would not have guessed the starting pitcher getting the final out of the 7th on a weak ground ball would elicit a moan of disappointment from the crowd.
