Well it will be tough but who knows, maybe Chicago gets swept in anaheim like we did and we sweep minnesota like they did. But yeah.
I've definitely become a KC fan.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Tigers have to go 13-3 and the Sox 9-7 to win the division outright. Tampa is fading and I think the fight is just about out of the Angels too, so I don't know how much help we'll get out of them. Strangely, the Tigers could help themselves in the wild card race if they sweep the A's, who are 40-31 on the road this season. Being that the Tiger's record against the West is worse than their record against the other AL divisions and interleague play, I don't see that happening.

God, if Garcia can hit like this next spring, we might have our RF for the duration.

CABRERA!!!

GRAND SLAM!!!

12-2, bottom 8.

40 HR on the year for Cabrera. First Tiger to do so since Cecil Fielder in 1991.

Now. You do realize we're getting beat 2-1 tomorrow.....right?

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Fielder just got hit, pitcher tossed, Geren soon to go....

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Fielder smiled at the catcher, patted him on the stomach, grinned, and went to 1st. Good thing, because if he's angry, that might have been a Rod Allen in Korea moment.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Where the hell has that kind of scoring been the past 3 weeks??

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

I dunno, but I'm mildly amazed that Jimmy isn't spitting food all over the reporters.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Well, that's what we need from the White Sox. If they play .500, we're probably cooked.

True, but I doubt they would play under .250 either. Tigers have to win first of all. and the bums could have started on that project a lot earlier!!

Verlander not looking great tonight. missing his spots and his breaking ball is generally not in for a strike tonight. ugh!
