Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

All right, Fister. We've spotted you 5. You've been properly staked for the afternoon. Don't be in a hurry to give them back.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

**** me in the *** with a boat paddle.

Thanks, Peralta. Throw the god**** to 1st base without a hop and we're out of the inning with 1 run instead of 4. Just because you gave us 3 runs with the bat, that doesn't mean you get to give them back the next half inning.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Great performance out there, Dougie. 5-0 lead and you can't get through 4.

Putkonen now in. This is like sending rotten chicken back to the kitchen and requesting spoiled hamburger.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Delmon....with a bases loaded WALK on a marginal pitch.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Bases loaded in the 2nd again, and we get a walk, a GIDP, and a lineout to CF.

3-0, end 2, and it should be a whole lot more. We've had the bases juiced twice in the 1st two innings, and our runs have come from 2 walks and a GIDP.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

I almost fell out of my chair. That pitch was close.

It's not unreasonable to expect us to be up 5-0 right now, given what we've had on base so far.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Bases Loaded, Part III.

And no, I'm not talking about a Nintendo game.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

And 2 runs, leaving the bases loaded in the process. We got the bare minimum there.

We've gotten 5 runs tonight on 2 bases loaded walks, a GIDP, a sac fly, and a play where Infante outraced the 1B to the bag. For God's sake, it wouldn't kill us if someone rifled a ball into the power alley with men on base.

We're gonna f around and blow this. *shakes head and reaches for shovel*

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Youkilis just hit a grand slam against the Yankees in the 5th, and CWS leads, 6-2. Hawk Harrelson just spooged all over the lower deck of US Cellular Field.

5-3 final.

And I just dropped him off my fantasy team.
Tigers tried to give it away but the umpires helped out. I don't think encarnacion went around on that third strike, but I'll take it gladly. Scherzer pitched real well.

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

No, I didn't think he did either, but he should have thought about that when he ****ed off the home plate ump 2 pitches prior. Encarnacion was lucky to still be allowed in the batter's box after that. I think that had a bit to do with getting rung up to end the game.

You have such a way with words. :)

Re: Detroit Tigers, Volume 4: The Rudy York edition

Okay, have you EVER known me to censor myself in the Tiger threads? Especially when it comes to that asshat of a broadcaster?

Nope. Which is a good portion of the reason why I lurk here.
